Is this LMS 8? If so make sure you are running the latest build. Then go

Spotty stream disrupted during playback.
Hi
New to posting here but have been an avid follower here and using sb for years now. Ultimately as my sb gear die looking to go rasppi generally it is working great. However I have been having intermittent drop outs in my spotty playback. About 1-2 per minute while playing back from spotify. Using same rasppi as lms and picore player. Same problem on wifi and wired network. Don't have the issue when streaming from a second lms on my nas with local stored files.
Really appreciate any suggestions

Spotty with Spotify Connect and multiple accounts (Family)
It's possible - under certain circumstances. Most likely Spotty fails to
do local announcements in your network. If you checked Spotty's
settings, that checkbox would be set (automatically - removing it likely
won't help). This can happen when there's a conflict with other mdns
applications.

I need som help with setup UPnP/DLNA bridge plugin in LMS.
My gear: Rpi3b+ with Hifiberry Digi+, Picoreplayer with player and server.
Plugins: Spotty and UPnP/DLNA bridge
A Sonos Play:3 in the Kitchen and a Connect in the livingroom.
I have made settings in UPnP/DLNA-plugin so that the two Sonos have the settings from the dropdown list. See picture. (Have applied predefined player profile)

Does LMS have a smart software equalizer (plugin)?
Hey.
Is there a way to make LMS use genre-specific equalizer settings (e.g. boost certain frequencies) for specific players?
Example: if player1 plays classical music nothing happens. But if the next track is genre = Rock it would boost the bass or something like that on player1. Then I could configure a bunch of EQ settings for different genres for each player. :)
I know that (custom-)convert.conf can be used to assign general equalizer-like settings to specific players. But as I understand it that setting then applies to all tracks played on that player.
Since LMS is all about configurability and customization I thought I'd ask if something like that is already possible or if it can be done at all (i.e. the genre-specific part).

Hi Everyone,
one question to integrate with ChromeCast. I found some great plugins from Philippe to use chromecast devices in LMS. That works pretty well.
However is there also a way that the LMS Server appears as a chromecast device?
If there's something it would be good to know.

MusicIP Server : No songs in cache?
I have been running MusicIP for a few weeks to analyse all my songs (ca 60,000) and tonight i have been trying to follow Spicefly MusicIP guide. I have hit a bump at the MusicIp Server headless part, the server shows no songs in the cache, but if i double click the default.m3lib files in \Users\Me\AppData\MusicIp\MusicIP Mixer directory all 60,000 are there. I added the cache to the mmm.ini files as suggested, but nada.I have also tried to 'refresh songs' in the browser, but still nothing.
any suggestions as to what i can try?

I'm discovering the world of network audio players...
I set up a NAS with a Raspberry Pi 4 and I took the opportunity to install LMS on it.
For one of my player I have equipped with a PI 4B 2G with a USB DAC, I use piCorePlayer 6 beta and it works perfectly except for the reading of DSD files :( )
DSD playback is no problem on PC with Squeezelite-X but as soon as I want to play the same files under pCP I simply don't have sound.
I spent a long time trying a bunch of different configurations but nothing to do :mad: So I decided to ask you the question :confused:
I'm using an "old" DAC Audio-gd (NFB-3.32 if I have good memory) which is not DSD compatible, neither is the SMSL M6 DAC I have on my PC, so there has to be a conversion from DSD to PCM right away so it should work from scratch but no, it doesn't...

LMS 8.0.0 and AutoRescan Plugin
The AutoRescan Plugin is not available anymore after upgrade to LMS 8.0.0
Is there a technical reason? or a bug?

AutoRescan is a great plugin. When I am adding new music files, this plugin is almost instantly adding the music to the music library - not only once a day as Rescan Music Library Plugin.

Announce: ts2shout - DVB-S/C MPEG-TS to Shoutcast/Squeezebox stream converter

I'd like to announce ts2shout, a converter application that converts DVB-S/DVB-C radio streams from mpeg-ts to shoutcast. This enables the LMS and squeezeboxes to stream radio stations from satellite or cable including station and title information.
The current version v0.85 supports stream name, MPEG EIT(=EPG) and radio-data-system RDS radiotext for music title and broadcast information on the squeezebox. Used by myself in conjunction with tvheadend and a SAT>IP dish.

I'd like to announce ts2shout, a converter application that converts DVB-S/DVB-C radio streams from mpeg-ts to shoutcast. This enables the LMS and squeezeboxes to stream radio stations from satellite or cable including station and title information.
The current version v0.85 supports stream name, MPEG EIT(=EPG) and radio-data-system RDS radiotext for music title and broadcast information on the squeezebox. Used by myself in conjunction with tvheadend and a SAT>IP dish.

Missing artists in Custom Browse Menu
Hello at all,
I'm using custom scan / browse / tag. I configured a custom tag for my CUSTOM_LIBRARY. This works: I can see under Home > Multi Library that this library contains all tracks with this custom tag. All artists are saved in TPE1 (I can check that in the tags settings of the tracks). Also tagging software shows all artists correct. In custom browse settings I use the built in menus, e.g. CUSTOM_LIBRARY/Artists.
BUT: I can't see all artists when I browse to this menu item CUSTOM_LIBRARY/artists. Many atists are missing.
When I browse to CUSTOM_LIBRARY/decades or CUSTOM_LIBRARY/years I can see all tracks and also the missing artists. It seems that only the artists sub menu is not working good.
If anyone has a idea what to check I would be very pleased.

Erlands plugins no longer in repository
I had a problem with libraries on LMS and decided to clear cache through the Control Panel in Windows 10...
That kind of worked as expected with all third party plugins having to be re-selected. Except that the Trackstat plugin had disappeared from the repository along with all of Erlands plugins.
I recalled that this was mentioned by another user in the last couple of days.
Is this a permanent loss or will they be coming back?
I have managed to find what I think is the latest Trackstat version (2017) by direct download but I'm reluctant to install it yet in case it reappears in the repository.
Is this one for the attention of @mherger?

Spotty - Number of Search Items in List
Question for mherger:
Searching in Spotty is restricted to 50 results. I can tweak the OPML.pm file to increase this but wondered why the limit "off the shelf" was so low - is this due to possible performance issues or other reasons? It would be good if there was an option to increase this limit as part of server settings. Any tweaks made otherwise will presumably get overwritten following updates. Apologies if this has been asked before - I have tried searching the forum for any previous threads.

You posted the same kind of log file a few days/weeks ago. And then you
reported "all back to normal" without giving any hint at to what had
happened. Maybe the same again?
The log file is looking ok until March 10. Then it started to time out
network connections, but not only Spotty's. Did something about your
network change? Does your router need a reboot?
